Plus Delta’s team of talented consultants have developed and delivered custom learning programs on a variety of topics. The descriptions below provide a brief overview of some of our most popular and well-received executive workshops.
Please call us at +1 (310) 589-4600 or contact us for more information about our upcoming workshops or to find out how to sponsor a Group Workshop in your own organization. If you want to enhance a leadership retreat or any other team events, our seasoned consultants are also available to deliver shorter keynote presentations on any of these learning topics.
Many of our accomplishments and most of the results we achieve in business happen through our communication and conversations with others. One of the most difficult conversations that any senior executive or business leader will ever have – perhaps falling just short of terminating an employee! – is providing constructive (aka “negative”) feedback to others. During this workshop, we will explore people’s differences and practice using a proven framework for providing effective feedback to others in a way that is less contentious, less confrontational, and best of all produces better business results.
Not all people are alike, so not all business situations – or working relationships for that matter – demand the same type of communication approach. Understanding our natural styles as well as other people’s individual preferences, then, is critical for us as leaders to communicate more effectively with those around us and achieve greater successes together. Through our enhanced awareness and broader capabilities as multi-dimensional leaders, we will be able to transform our experiences at work and enhance our relationships with others to turn our visions into reality!!
This program is based on a fun and engaging Work Style Profiles inventory that participants complete at the beginning of the session and then practice applying together. In this highly interactive and engaging workshop, Dr. Lurey will also help participants:
- Understand their different Work Style Profiles and then apply these “animal tendencies” to their work relationships
- Discuss several proven techniques for adapting their natural communication approach and working more effectively with others
- Leverage their individual strengths and unique talents to be multi-dimensional leaders capable of giving positive and constructive feedback to anyone
Change can be an exciting and exhilarating experience. Change can lead to innovation and renewal in many areas. Better utilization of technology, more efficient process flow, and enhanced individual and team productivity are all potential benefits of change.
Far too often though, organizations fail to achieve these anticipated benefits. In fact, it’s not uncommon for only 20% of major change efforts to ever achieve their intended business results. Whether it is a systems implementation, a process redesign, or any other organizational transformation initiative, that means that up to 80% of these change projects fail to achieve their intended business results.
This interactive training program helps participants explore the key drivers for successfully implementing organizational change and develop the critical skills they need to effectively lead change initiatives. The workshop focuses on the basic fundamentals of Plus Delta’s proven Positive ChangeSM approach, an approach which is based on today’s leading research as well as decades of applied consulting experience, to help participants not only ensure project success but also achieve extraordinary outcomes!
By the end of the workshop, participants will learn about change and resistance to change from an individual , group and organizational level. They will also achieve the following objectives:
- Learn about why people resist change and become familiar with the principles of engagement to mitigate employee resistance
- Review a proven approach for managing individual and organizational transitions
- Discuss effective strategies for leading individuals through large-scale organizational changes and becoming successful change agents in their own organizations
As organizational restructuring and transition increases at an alarming pace in today’s business environment, employee loyalty in organizations also seems to be on the decline. Together, these two trends are planting the seeds for more and more internal practitioners to establish their own consulting practices.
Running your own management consulting firm can be an exciting and exhilarating experience. It can offer greater flexibility and freedom to anyone who has previously worked for another employer while also providing tremendous opportunities for personal growth and professional development. Far too often though, skilled practitioners try to launch their own consulting practices without completely considering the challenges that await them and therefore are not able to make it on their own. This struggle ultimately causes many good consultants to take down their “shingle” in search of another internal role.
This interactive training program helps participants explore the key drivers for successfully launching their management consulting practices and develop the critical skills they need to effectively manage and grow their firms once established. The program is based on leading business practices as well as Plus Delta’s critical lessons learned from being in business for more than 10 years – and even being named one of the fastest-growing private companies in America by Inc magazine. By the end of the program, participants will achieve the following objectives:
- Recognize and understand the many roles of being a solopreneur and small business owner
- Review the steps required to launch their firms and create new service offerings
- Discuss several effective techniques for running a sustainable consulting practice
- Develop a business development and growth strategy for enabling the continued success of their firms
